A person suffered face and hand burns at a Lancaster Township fire this morning, a county dispatcher reported. A car was on fire at 8:47AM in an unattached garage at 974 E. Orange St., she said.

FDNY firefighters from Queens, NY are called to a mini bus on fire. Fuel from the burning bus leaks and eventually catches on fire under civilian vehicles not involved in the original fire. This is a great reminder for future vehicle fires, rig placement, and safety concerns.
Firefighter Paul Torres is used to rushing to the rescue. For the first time, he’s opening up about the night he needed help. “I knew just in my gut that it was a bad injury,” he said. Photos taken by a neighbor show a Thousand Oaks home raging in flames April 5. Torres and his team worked quickly to knock it down. But then there was something that sounded like popcorn or machine gun fire. The preliminary investigation shows it was likely shrapnel from ammunition that exploded in the home.
